COMITTEE: HOSPITALITY
NEEDED: CHAIR & 3-4 VOLUNTEERS
As the chair of the Hospitality Committee, you would be in charge of working with the HSA Board to organize staff breakfast for the first day of school as well as a staff dinner during December conferences. You would also collaborate with the board and your volunteers to provide a monthly treat to the staff and develop a schedule of refreshments for 'Teacher Appreciation Week'. You would be responsible for reaching out to vendors, obtaining pricing, and reporting back to the board. You would be given a budget to work with for the year. This is a full school year commitment but sporadic throughout the year minimally once a month.

COMITTEE: FAMILY EVENTS
NEEDED: COMMITTEE CHAIR
As the chair of the Family Event Committee, you would be in charge of organizing and advertising the family dance in January. You would be responsible for organizing volunteers to help and decorate. You would need to book a DJ and handle any refreshments for the event. Any other family event ideas would also be welcomed. Total commitment would be 1-2 weeks in January and any other time needed for other events.

NEEDED: COMMITTEE CHAIR
As the chair of the Roller-Skating Committee, you would be in charge of organizing the night (date pre-determined on the 2024 calendar). The fundraiser would include advertising, organizing volunteers for the event, and ordering food/drinks to sell the night of the event. You would need to price out refreshments and keep track of sales as well as collecting RSVP's and working with the rink for any last-minute things. Total commitment would be 1-2 weeks in January/February.

NEEDED: COMMITTEE CO-CHAIR(S)
(3) separate chairs, one for each show.
We are in need of Talent Show Committee Co-Chairs for the 1st/2nd Grade show, the 3rd/4th Grade show, and the 5th Grade show. Each chair will be responsible for running practices on the pre-determined rehearsal dates (which can be found on the event calendar in February, March, & April) as well as the final performance show. You will be in charge of organizing volunteers to help with your rehearsals and the show. You will need to coordinate to sell concessions during the performance and collaborate on the show's program.
Total time commitment is 3-4 weeks per show.

It would be your responsibility to develop a proposed list of assemblies based on a given budget, then work with Mrs. Kanter to finalize the topics and select dates for each event. Total commitment is throughout the school year on an as-needed basis.

COMITTEE: INCENTIVES
Needed: COMMITTEE Chair & 2-3 Volunteers
As the chair of the Incentives Committee, you would be in charge organizing yourself and a few volunteers to come up with different incentives for the school to participate in throughout the year. There are a few ideas the board has looked into and would pass along for your committee to discuss.
Currently, this would primarily be 'Box Tops for Education'. You would be responsible for creating a drop-box of some sort for kids and parents to turn in their store receipts on a regular basis. The committee would collect grocery receipts from the drop-box in the school lobby at least once a week and scan them in using your phone. Each volunteer would need the 'Box Tops' app on their phone as well. Once the receipts are scanned in, the receipts can be thrown out. This committee is a continuous year-round endeavor but can be done on your own time as long as it is done consistently. The receipts are only valid for 14 days after purchase date, so getting them scanned in as soon as possible by the volunteers on a rotating basis would be best.
