2026 Family Dance (Student Volunteers)

 

Hello Volunteers!

 

We are so excited to be able to provide this annual fun after-school family dance for our students at Simmons Elementary School.  This could not happen without YOUR help! Please review the available slots below and click on the button to sign up. Any help you can provide would be great! 

NEW this year... we have added a secondary dance in the Cafeteria for those with sensory issues.  This will allow options for ALL Simmons students to enjoy the dance.  The sensory area will have music and photos similar to the dance in the gym, but will be noise controlled and have other stations set up for the kids to enjoy when they need a break. 

(Please note: This sign-up is only for students who are in need of service hours. All parents must sign-up via the 'Parent Sign-up' on Membership Toolkit.)

Family Dance Volunteer Opportunities
Set-up
Help set-up tables and chairs. Decorate the gym and any other areas.

Concessions
Help set-up concessions table with food and drink. Monitor and sell items. Breakdown concessions at the end of the dance.

Hall Monitor
Monitor the hall and coat racks. Encourage children to walk and not run in the hallway. Make sure no kids are hanging out in the bathrooms or hallway.

Photo Area
Set-up photo station. Take photos with tablet. Have guests enter email address or phone number to immediately receive digital image of photo. Breakdown photo station at the end of the dance.

Sensory Dance Volunteer Opportunities
Set-up
Help set-up sensory stations and photo booth in cafeteria. Decorate the cafeteria.
